It wouldn't work unfortunately, unlike the Wii U the Switch either displays on the TV or on the device itself, but never both.

I doubt it - that functionality will be embedded into the architecture. It would also involve a performance hit driving different screens like that - it's probably something that hindered the Wii U.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -

Have you tried Runbow? It is similar to but slower than Speed Runners with platforms and obstacles appearing and disappearing based on the colour changing waves in the background. One of my friends is far too good at this though whereas I can compete with/beat him at Speed Runners.
Others that usually make an appearance on Xbone are Knight Squad, Spelunky and Trials (Runbow friend can't deal with the Trials mechanic, oddly).
Some of the most fun/stress has been had on 3 on 3 NHL Arcade on the 360, either one-on-one, two-on-two or three against the game/online... -

I do miss proper local multi player. On very rare occasions i might get together with a mate and sneak in a couple of games of FIFA or whatever...but it's probably as far back as sparkystock the last time i partook of a decent multi player gaming session"Like i said, context is missing."

Some same room co-op options.
Having a gaming day at mate's place. Gave 2 local co op games a good crack.
Nine parchments. (from the makers of trine.)
Not sold on a couple of decisions, but overall, a great reinvention of diablo/torchlight etc.
Friendly fire is a crucial part of it and all the different elements work together.
Spell management towards end game could be an issue but first third is awesome fun.
For a cheaper option: ibb and obb. Costs next to nothing on steam.
Very very clever platformer. Has been a great laugh.

I really enjoyed what I played of Broforce but Howlongtobeat.com has it at something like 15hrs, which seems far too long for even a competent co-op platformer to not wear a bit thin. What's the deal with the length?

The difficultly level definitely ramps up despite the multiplayer making it fairly easy to keep going against the odds - I haven't yet finished it with my friends, but it took us a good few hours to get through maybe 2/3 to 3/4 of the game. -

I finished it with my daughter, and it's easily her favourite co-op game - she insists on playing it when she has friends round. She has her own names for all the characters, as she mostly has no idea about the movies they all reference. About 7 hours sounds right.
