It's Daytona. Daytona doesn't really need to look that much better than the original. The Dreamcast version looked better than the original and the XBL version was similar.

All the lovers want are more tracks and a tiny bit of polish and that's what this gives. It has tournament bracket modes etc.

Would do me OK. Let Daytona be Daytona.

I'm pretty confident I'll never even see a cabinet.

I actually quite like the social shit. Camera's on the drivers and stuff.
In this day and age though, such data can be used for anything...

It's done well here though, even if it is a small component of the game.

Anyone seen Final Fantasy Dissidia?

Had no idea it was a 3 on 3 fighting game.
When I first saw the machine and it's twin sticks, I only wished it was a fighting game...

Dissidia's been around for ages no? I definitely used it several years ago for animation reference.


Anyway, general arcade news - Las Vegas Wardour St are getting a pop'n and Sound Voltex cab some point soon, and I hear they have taiko already. Starting to get quite a sizeable rhythm game collection in the capital!

Would have loved to have had more time to look around Akibahara... It very much is the Tokyo of western myth, but it was far from the most interesting part of what little of the country I'd seen.

FF theatrhythm was released on DS a couple of years back I think, maybe vita.

The washing machine ones at the end looked like segas maimai but that's a music game and the pic looks like some racing game?

Where did you find the cab, out of interest?

I'm just relieved Mikado have managed to hang on by going hard in the paint on courting their nostalgic nerds and FGC ramblers via soc media, crowdfunding etc. It's like the only place I ever wanted to go, and now that's basically the only place you can.
They've done well enough to open a Spanish chapter now.
