Aron Eisenberg, the actor who played Nog in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has died at the age of 50. They've not announced the cause of death but he had long-standing health issues due to being born with kidney problems - these caused the short stature that led to him being cast in Star Trek.

Sid Haig, 80. Really flourished late in his career via Rob Zombie's stuff and was always great fun to watch.

John Kirby, the lawyer Nintendo named Kirby after, has died of blood cancer at the age of 79. During his legal career he also worked on important stuff relating to the civil rights movement.

Had a heart to heart with my Grandad last night.
He put himself in the knackers yard at 60, he is now 87.
He told me last night he will do his 88th birthday but that's it, "no one wants to go above the two fat ladies".
And there goes Ginger Baker, maybe the greatest rock n roll drummer of all time. Not a surprise though, he had been struggling with his health for a while.

I also only watched Jackie Brown a day or two ago. In fact as I was finishing it he was likely drawing his last breaths. Spooky? Maybe.
I'll always look to The Black Hole and Alligator for my Forster nostalgia.

Bit late mentioning this, but RIP Charles Jencks. One of the greatest artists of our time, probably best known for his gardens (like The Garden of Cosmic Speculation), landforms (like the ones at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art) and for being the creative force behind the Maggie’s Centres all over the world (free to use independent cancer care centres designed by the world’s top architects).
Jencks is a man who can genuinely say that he left the world a better place than he found it. Gone too soon at 80.
