Tempy wrote:Yeah, really. I'd happily eat either given the choice and mood. I usually hate veggie burgers, but they get the consistency and flavour just right. The falafel burgers are akin to lamb burgers in taste - lots of minty goodness. As someone who avoids meat on the by and large, i'm happy to have found a place that does decent veggie stuff - plus it's only £6 or £7 depending on the deal of the day. If you really want meant you've got Burger Meats Bun and Bread Meats Bread in the city centre, coronary inducing burgers and sandwiches respectively. Nottingham is largely not great. Off the top of my head you've got Delilah's, poncy deli place but it does really good food. The Broadway cinema cafe is definitely cheap and cheerful, better value than most of these places. Opposite Broadway you've got Edin's which is ok especially on their deal menu which is £6-8 for two courses depending on the time of day you go, that's a choice of Starter/Main/Desert you have to make but it's good food, usually locally sourced and the portions are adequate if not overly generous. Next door their is Lee Rosy's Tea Shop - lots of nice team big fat sandwiches and slices of cake too at reasonable prices. Trek over the town square and go down a back alley to find The Malt Cross, lots of good grub and drink to be had there and it's handily opposite a Weatherspoons so you can eat like a king and then drink for relatively cheaply if you so wish. That's the limit to my knowledge foodwise, but there's lots of good stuff near the Broadway, including a little Italian place I can't recall the name of. Sadly Bar Nada, the brilliant tapas bar has been replaced by some shoddy Chinese outfit.Jacuzzi_Jackson wrote:Reaaaaaallllly though?the best veggie/vegan stuff for dirt cheap prices and veggie burgers that (say it with me in hallowed tones) are utterly on a par with their meaty equivalents.
