You can download them I think, so should be fine. There are 3 separate bits at the moment, although I should probably bundle them together.acemuzzy wrote:Do you need live Internet access to play other people's levels though, or can you download them? (I'll be in Devon so not sure what connection I'll have.)
No, it's true to an extent that the jumping just isn't quite right in LBP - just doesn't 'pop' enough. But having designed some levels and played around with it quite a bit, there's actually more flexibility than is obvious at first. It relies a lot on getting up speed in various ways to increase jump height and distance. Still tricky though.Moot_Geeza wrote:Even if your levels are expertly designed they'd still be hamstrung by the floatiness imo, but I feel a bit rude having typed that so I'll see if I'm wrong at some point in the next couple of days.
You'd be surprised. The only thing it has going for it is that it's so fast you can effectively jump on the spot and the platform will reappear by the time you land (if you time it just right). It allows you to plan ahead a little, but it's still a nightmare.acemuzzy wrote:I've played it but not all the optional bits. I remember doing the tree top which was tough? I'm guessing there may be two differences though: slightly more even jumps (rather than random placement / doubling back), and more fitting on the screen (so you can plan ahead more sensibly).
