The Premiership Guess Thread - 21down, 360 to go

This season, there will be spreadsheets... and graphs... and I will beat Elf again
Same rules as last season, with an extra 0.2 points if you get the right result (win/lose/draw) but wrong scoreline. A point per completely correct guess. Swingers of +/- one million points if you're gonzo and guess Ginola on the scoresheet. All guesses by midday on match day. Bulk guessing permitted but deeply frowned upon. Discretionary points for quality trash talking.

- This already includes a demo graph (on the second tab); we can add more
- Currently gives 1 point for both correct scores and 0.2 points for correct result (can be changed)
- if the season is drawn, the biggest bribe to @acemuzzy wins it
- Everyone will be able to check their entries if they think i'm faking / doing the maths wrong. (You can't edit though, to avoid cheating and to make sure everyone can see in the thread everyone else's guesses.)
- Most importantly - it will automatically do the scoring for me, including reading your guesses, if you enter them in the formate like WorKid did - i.e. add "1-0" or whatever at the end of the line with the match in, having quoted what I've written each week:

How about 3 points for the correct score and one for the result? It might make it more competitive and give scum like The Daddy a chance to narrow the margin of my victory. -

I hate it too. Unless I'm saying it and enjoying how it annoys others, in which case the schadenfreude is strangely pleasurable. So it stays, at least until everyone stops being annoyed by it.

I thought 3 was too little - the whole point is to make it a lottery really! We'll also struggle to compare with last year, though via the power of spreadsheets we can work that out as a footnote...

3 might be too much what? Don't think we'll run out of numbers before the end.
Not a fan of the other stuff, perhaps in case of a tie breaker but I doubt it will happen. -

I prefer that scoring model though.

Its not my baby anymore so feel free to dismiss this...
The thing with getting points for exact scores is that it's hard and rare. Like, getting 2 or 3 in a single week is a proper achievement.
So, if you want to add points for just getting a correct result, then actually guessing, dead on, how many goals each team scores has to be heavily weighted. It need to be a case where someone with 3 dead on scores can be in contention for the top marks of the week, otherwise it just encourages conservative play.
So, I'd suggest you get the mark for correct result (1) plus at least 2 or 3. The later would be my pick - it's closer to the original setup from last season. But I understand if people want to add a bit more depth to it and have a chance to pick up some higher scores, so I'll leave this to the group and our new Prem Guess Thread overlords. -
