Thought I'd rant about how much I love this game while I wait for newly released "Definitive Edition" to download on Steam.
Looks pretty. Great platformer.
Nice wide moveset with some original/interesting mechanics.
Looks cute / childlike, but it has a few rock hard difficulty spikes which had me swearing... when you beat them after the 50th attempt it's so worth it.
Sounds great (apart from making my GTX 970's fans go full blast for some reason).
I felt some emotion & connection with the protagonist (pretty rare these days). No, I am not an orphan.
So this new edition is only £3.75 on Steam until 27th May (if you have the original). A few quid for some additional content for one of my favourite games in the last couple of years? Don't mind if I do. Just hope it doesn't melt my graphics card.
The "definitive" bits (dlc?) ... what do they add, and will I be able to play them having commonest the game,, or do I need to pay through to a certain point again??
Commonest? It's treated as a separate game, so you'll need to play through the entire thing again to see anything new, which I found out after I bought it annoyingly.
There are new areas, new abilities, and the option to actually fill the map out and 100% it after you beat it which wasn't available before.
NEW IN THE DEFINITIVE EDITION
