It's only bad tax dodging if you record a profit. Not ideal admittedly, but it doesn't turn left-thinking into hypocrisy. It smacks of desperation, but that's not exactly Philip Green territory yet. -
I'm seriously thinking of going on an electronic hiatus for a month. The only thing I'll actually have to do is play SM3DW once a week with the boy, although that is demonstrably fun so probably doesn't count anyway.

Doubt this'll interest more than one or two people, but a film reviewer, editor, and essayist over on youtube has been doing a sort of dive into examining the idea of Parasocial relationships online. The first video is a bit of a primer, only 20 minutes
The second is nearly two hours.
It's the part time work of a good editor, who is very invested in this stuff, and has done a lot of research. I don't think her delivery is perfect - there is a lot of quoting articles verbatim that can be a little tired. It covers a lot of things I imagine a lot of people here, and to be honest, really just stuff a lot of adults haven't thought about full stop. Stuff people deride as kids being silly, or stuff you can grow out of, or switch off. It's an interesting, if somewhat long, video on something that's very unique to the generation of people who grew up either always online, or at least extremely online. I can guarantee that both are well worth anyone's time, and might even broaden some horizons. -
