The trouble with monitors is that they just don't make them big enough. Or, if they do, they're specialist and cost shit-loads.

Dunno whether this info’s any use to you, but I’ve found Samsung LED tellies to be incredibly sharp/bright/colourful. Really gorgeous picture quality. -

That 4K TV is a great deal by the way, 8 bit panel but incredible picture.

I do find the speakers in my big Samsung to be a bit poor, but since I run the audio through a Canton sound base instead that doesn’t matter.

Something the consoles and TV's still don't have yet is Freesync integration, it would be cheap as piss to implement and really improve the experience.

I would advise anyone to buy some kind of sound set-up so as not to use TV speakers, even serious money TV speakers are so poor in comparison to a decent sound set-up
