Not really. I held the pad for maybe 3 minutes while a mate tried to explain to me why it's the best thing ever and I'd love it, but I'm not sure that counts. I've read a fair bit about them, and they do sound like exceptionally good experiences, but the skill-based snakes and ladders in 3D thing makes me want to run for the hills. -
Having just started ds3, I think what the first boss is reminding me, is how fair and learnable the game is.
Basically, if you fuck up, you can only survive 2-3 hits from a boss. (or plebs, in most cases.)
There's precision required, but it's not actually twitchy. So old men like me can hang.
Its working out how many hits you can get in, then working out how to dodge or block away and which direction to go.
From what I understand, bloodborne is much more about dodging and speed, as opposed to turtling and blocking. I'd suggest that would make it the harder game to start with. (someone feel free to confirm that.)
Dark souls let's you do things different ways. You can go big heavy guys who can take hits, or you can go full light dodgy dudes.
(or magic, which can be more ranged, harder early, then almost cheating late, from memory)
If you can get it cheap or borrow, give it a go.

It's less like that in both Bloodborne and DS3 (as you'll see). Becomes more about precision dodging and learning attack patterns. Works better in BB because the movement and weapons are more suited to it.
Also, I've trimmed and tidied up my DS write-up a bit. Should read better now. -

I think that is true of DS3 bit I still think it is easier than Dark1.

Digging into 3 more makes me want to hassle you more to try ds1.

I'll probably cave in and try Bloodborne at some point, but if I had to pick a souls-alike I'd probably go for Nioh.
