Attempted a rescue mission on a guy who was packing a full army of geared up Strikers but got so low on health I had to run till the retreat timer went off. The way more join the fray as time passes really forces you to try and kill quickly since fighting two at once is a bit of a headache.
Made it to the 11th Floor tonight after beating the first of the four Dons. Apparently the game starts proper now although powergamers have already found out the game so far only goes as high as 40-ish floors with an obvious opening for additional content.
Soundtrack is surprisingly decent and is allegedly over 100 tracks. And suitably barmy cutscenes.
War started this morning between Britain and Germany so I couldn't resist getting one raid in before bed so I get the count towards loot for participation. Sods law it was a player more than twice my rank but All Hail the Red Hot Iron and tear gas mushrooms. I didn't even realise at the end my decal that drastically boosts damage when at <15% health was active.
Much thanks. I'm addicted to a mere above average game. Something relaxing about the general clearing out of the tower floors in search of materials and progress.
Till some mug sends his best character on an expedition to your floor armed with upgraded weapons 30+ your level.
I'm up on 24F and have just started my 4* character. The low level grind is kinda relaxing once you know the layouts. That is, until you bump into a Lv.75 Hater on 1F.
Cracking game, especially considering its F2P. And it shows no sign of having any sort of 'pay wall' the higher you get. With enough grinding for better weapons etc, you can quite easily beat the game without spending a single pennie. That said, i did throw them some cash, cause i've already spent 40 hours on it, so it only seemed fair. Plus the expanded Storage Locker (which i spent my Death Metals on) is a godsend.
The Roguelike Souls combo works really well. Its the first game in a long time that evokes the "should i press on a little further, or head back and bank my sweet loot?" feeling. And the elation of finding the lift shaft back to the hub is exactly how bonfires used to feel back in the day.
I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Souls games. Might take a while to click, but its oddly compelling and satisfying.
I used a death metal to revive last night for the first time. Felt kind of dirty but it was from your mentioned hater with some crazy top tier machete.
Glad other peeps are enjoying it. You're well ahead of me as i've not even got to floor 16 yet. I blame veneer plank hunting.
Still playing this for some reason. The grind has shown its face now after Floor 20. Anyway, here's an embarrassing death because I misclicked the touch bar to eat the groggy (enter an instant kill state) mushroom instead of throwing it.
