How did you lot get on with the combat in Yakuza 6? I'm still not enjoying that aspect of the game, which is a shame as I enjoyed the fight system in Zero. It feels like a step back to me. I'm not very good at it yet, which isn't helping. I had to use three continues to beat the baseball brawlers.
O is without a doubt the nicest gaming surprise I've had this year. Into chapter 11 already and side quests and businesses going well. Just wondering what's the order to play the following games...
0, 1, 2 and 6 are out. 3, 4 and 5 are being remastered for PS4 (they are glorified PS3 ports although apparently scrub up quite well). They have started to be released in Japan and should start coming to the West next year.

Just played the Judge Eyes demo, and it's very similar to Yakuza, which is no bad thing. Interesting new P.I. mechanic with follow-target-find-cover and chase QTEs. Hoping it'll be sufficiently different to spawn a new Kamurocho saga.
Yeah, looking forward to it too. The combat in the demo was about the same, even the traffic cone Heat ("EX") action used the Kiryu animation.
I've had a bit of a Yakuza marathon as of late - finishing K2's story, then I went back to Zero to finish up the Cabaret story (zero's framerate seems a lot smoother than 6/K1/K2). Now to go back to K2's Cabaret and to begin the Majima Saga. No other game matters right now.
I'm nearing end of main story on 0, I've done leisure king and got my hostesses with the mostest, I presume I can go back to all that stuff and the mountain of substories I have to do after credits roll!
I'm in two minds about selling Yakuza 6. I'm not really enjoying it like I was with Zero (my first Yakuza, which went straight into my top 100 list in Cinty's thread). I might get rid and play Kiwami 2 when it's cheap. Does it get better? I really liked the story and fight system in Zero, but so far neither of those things are hitting the mark in this one. I've only done two side stories too, and they were a bit disappointing (the AI phone app was one). Please tell me it gets better, because I'd prefer to stick with it and enjoy it than not play it, but if the advice from those who've played it is 'if you don't like it yet get rid', then I'll do so. I'm up to the bit where
Spoiler:
The character who kept wanting to fight me now sees me as his master because Kiryu beat up a group of Yakuza who were about to kill him.
Agree and the one with the most interesting story
Wish more story based games would use the real world rather than some Tolkien pastiche, far more relatable
