Nah it's all good, I do the same. Right now I just skim over the grime channels on Youtube and see what's happening but I'm banging out loads of city pop and acoustic/melancholy stuff in the current rotation.
"Let me tell you, when yung Rouj had his Senna and Mansell Scalextric, Frank was the goddamn Professor X of F1."
It's ya boi Noam on the track, apparently helping out Lowkey.
Bless UK rappers/MCs. Destined to forever sail beneath the radar of their cousins across the pond, despite on average imho being way better lyrically. Or in the case of Akala, just flat out the best, full stop.

While I'm here, Stormzy's new track managed to get #1 trending on YouTube when it dropped yesterdayish. it's okay, I don't think it's anything special though, it ain't no Big For Your Boots, Shut Up, Return of the Rucksack or WickedSkengMan4 though imo.

Is there a go-to Akala album, or is it best to leave it at the Fire in the Booth vids? I've got Doublethink, can't remember which tracks I liked but remember not being too keen overall, just about to give it another go. Anything else worth doing?
Thanks. I'd seen at least one of his fitbs in here before but I watched all four yesterday. It's easy enough to find rappers/MCs to be in awe of for wit, tiptop wordsmithery or mic skills/technique, but it's rare to find one whose entire brain appears to be absolutely on fire. How is he doing it?? Insane.
All his albums are mundane and not just in comparison to his FitB. Couple of decent tracks here and there but there's rarely any fun to be had with his stuff.

Just settled in for a marathon Grime Gran session but there are only two so far. Only [7] for the Leibniz? Shocking. The 'what would make it a ten?' bit is superb.
Yeah the whole episode is sailing so close to farce, it's brilliant. It's like Chicken Shop Dates, its funny watching the roadmen get annoyed that the genre is able to poke fun at itself and the absurdly masculine posturing that goes on.
In other news Skeppy and P.Money both had albums out last week, both are supposed to be alright, I'll probably check out P.Money's off the get the chance first though. Skepta's by all accounts is really well produced and has a far bit of track variety.

Hoodies All Summer deffo worth a listen but Cadet has gone full Tupac or some shit. Also feels bad the amount of views this has now compared to his videos got when he was still alive.
Couple of heavy bars about Mark Duggan and Rashan Charles in there *grimacing emoji* etc.
