A lot of games are released in varying degrees of completion nowadays, they might as well be early access. I've watched enough of this on Twitch to look past its rough edges, it feels like they've nailed it where it matters the most with the gunplay.

I kind of really want to play this right now, but I don't think I could stomach paying £25 for an early access beta. I really wish devs would stop doing this, or it might be good if Steam had a cap on how much they could charge. If it was £15 I could be tempted.
Gah I shouldn't get tempted really, the cheapest I can see it is on cdkeys for £22.79, and I guess I could get another 5% off via facebook..
I've generally avoided paying for most of these early access games. I have got Besieged and another one called From The Depths that were reasonably priced, but anything over £15 seems a bit much for an unfinished product.
But it does look fun.. Playing solo I could see myself much of the time just chilling hanging out in the grass and watching everyone kill each other, or hiding in buildings. And I've heard it's pretty quick to get into another game when you do inevitably meet your maker.
Yeah I guess, I think Ark: Survival Evolved pulled a trick just before release and upped the EA price to twice as much or something. Still, this kind of feels like it's full price already.
Well I caved and got it last night. Yeah for just solo it definitely isn't worth £20, but at least teams should be a laugh.
Alright then PC badgers let's organise some times for some team play.
I found that as a match goes on it seems to get less fun, as the time and effort investment goes up and the number of players go down. You get squished together until you get to the endgame which is just crap really as you all crawl through the grass with your assault rifles waiting to see each other. It's really not difficult to get to the top ten or top five left alive, I've done it a bunch of times now without getting any kills, or just the single kill. So I find the endgame to be really uninteresting and I'll probably just get a car and drive in circles in the area next time I get that far. Playing with a team I could see it being a lot more fun.
The best part of the game is probably during the first 40 deaths, where you're making mental notes as you land as to where the nearest players are to you and you scrabble through houses looking for a decent long range weapon and armour.
