We should have a system whereby my predictions always get me more points than anyone else.

That skews the prediction game towards 1 goal victory for home side / heavy favourite if away. Predicting a draw is sub optimal now becoz of Ur thicko rules, cos there is only one outcome that yields points (correct prediction).
I predict a 1-1 (which I do btw, I predict this for all matches all seasons forever fyi), I only have a chance at 3 points or 1 point (for a draw) or zero.
I predict a narrow win, I have a chance at 3 points plus 0.5 or 1 point plus 0.5. I only get zero for a loss.
I assume you still get one point for correct result. Doesn't matter if not.
So if I were to play I would predict home win 1 goal margin for home sides unless they are heavy favourites, then I might go for 2 at home 1 away. I'll collect a few 0s but get so many 3.5 points and 1.5 points I'll just coast to a champions league place. -

OK, this is my favoured scoring system. Let me know what holes are in it.
Predict correct result and exact score - 2pts
Predict the correct result but not the exact score - 1pt
Bonus points - only received if correct result is predicted.
0.5 for correct home score
0.5 for correct away team score
0.5 for the correct margin of victory -
So if I correctly predict 1-1, I'd get 3 points?
If I correctly predict 1-0, I'd get 3.5 points? -
