Ep18, The minute the show left Twin Peaks, I just knew he was going to kick us in the nuts and there would be no resolution. I'll need to watch it again, but the initial presumption has to be Coop is now stuck in a parallel universe. Who fucking knows? The current prevailing is that Laura/Judy is the dreamer and while Coop successfully saves her, he becomes the man in her dreams. She screams just before she wakes up on the morning after she should have died as apparently you can hear her mother asking her to get up? Though i didn't hear it.

My tinnitus sounds like the show's electrical hum which does not make the condition easier on sleep.

The way she smothers his face reminded me of the woodsmen handling bad coop the two times he dies. And he acts in that world almost like a hybrid coop with his mannerisms and quiet looks.

I was watching with subtitles, there weren't any for her mother asking her to get up in the last scenes, I'm pretty sure about that. They have subtitles for loads of things I didn't hear, so I'm sure if she said that it would have been in there.
Sex scene was indeed unsettling, both persons didn't seem to be their complete selves.
Part of me hoped old Laura and confused Cooper would just get in the car and end up in the road house. I could have done with some music and a familiar setting. If course I didn't get that, twas a good and unexpected ending. -
Sarah Palmer does cry out Laura's name at the end, just before Laura screams.
Also, when Cooper wakes the morning after the sex scene, not only has he become Richard and Diane become Linda, he's in a completely different motel room, in a different motel, and has a different car. This is now the world in which he finds Laura, who is now Carrie.Come with g if you want to live... -

Nah, it's Lynch doing what Lynch has always done. It's art rather than narrative television/film. Open to any amount of interpretation, and with no conclusion to be drawn. An 18 hour fever-dream that makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you feel, and makes you think.
Anyone trying to unravel this or apply logic to it is on a fools errand. It's just human nature to try.

Must have missed Sarah's cry out of Laura's voice at the end. Not that it changes that much.
I actually hadn't really noticed the car and motel change. Part of me thought it was different, but I didn't really think any of it, just that I must have missed something.
Like you said, I'm in it for the trip, and the laughs, cries and craziness that go with it. The music and the sfx are very fitting for this world as well. I do enjoy reading theories about it though, but will never take it to seriously.
It's still my favourite bit of television in a long while, I'm really glad this has happened, and tbh, I'm fine with how it all wrapped up.

Yes. It was everything it should have been and more. Jaw dropping television in a world of formulaic trash. Anyone caught using the phrase "I'm a huge fan of David Lynch, but..." today, should be immediately fired into the sun.Come with g if you want to live...
