Everybody's Golf B&B Tournament - Week 3, 25 Sept-2 Oct: Alpina Forest (Out) - The Bear and Badger

As mentioned in the EG thread, we have started a weekly tournament for Everybody's Golf on PS4.

Each week a new set up to test yourself and see how you fare against your fellow badgers.

The format is thus:

Play exactly 4 rounds of the specific set up in 'solo stroke play' mode (no quitting and restarting)

Always use standard clubs and balls only

Post your individual round scores, aggregate score and your golf level at the time (and pics/videos if you want)

Pats on the back for best single round score and best overall score

There will be some sort of bonus for those on lower golf levels to even the field a bit (TBD). Hopefully this will become less of an issue as everyone advances.

Previous weeks:

An easy one for everyone to start with, and one that everyone will have unlocked.

Go to 'solo stroke play' and choose these options:

Eagle City GC
9 hole (Out)
Regular Tee
Mega Cup
Mirror Off
Clear (noon)
Standard clubs and balls only

Last round I was -7 through 5 then hit two bunkers on my first two shots on 6, landing in them by about an inch from the edge. Fucked it.

-8 on the last. Eagled hole 3 only to par 4 and 6 - definitely the bastards of this half course.

So: -7, -10, -9, -8 = -34

Yeah. I forgot this ended today actually. I'll let it run tomorrow and start a new one on Friday morning. Also, -4 is probably quite decent at level 5.

Looking forward to doing some of the later courses on this at some point.

So, I think this is it for Week 1:

JonB: -34 [-10] (Level 11)
Dark Soldier: -33 [-10] (Level 10)
Skade: -31 [-10] (Level ?)
Moot_Geeza: -25 [-7] (Level 9)
Bob: -22 [-8] (Level 10)
Shabby: -16 [-7] (Level 5)

Number in [] is best round.

Not sure what to make of the differences between levels. Would think you'd gain a couple of shots per round in the stat gains between level 5 and 10, but it gets more gradual in later levels. Still, I'm sure there's a slight difference between 10 and 11, so whether it's really a win for me is debatable.

I think I might struggle to get -10 without some luck but a birdie a hole should be easy enough if I could hit the ball straight! Achievable at least.
