I had a dream last night where gameshow-man Bradley Walsh befriended a whale during a Save the Whales charity do. I later bumped into him with Steven Seagal and some other people on a jetty, as this whale mate jumped onto it at the land end and slid into us, skittling most of us into the freezing water. But not Walsh.
As we all scrambled to climb out I emerged at Seagal's feet, his face crestfallen at the loss of his toupee. I then saw the matted lump in the water next to me and handed it to him, for which he thanked me.

Haven't followed that link but I'm pretty sure the source code for PD Saga was lost - so for most people emulation will be the only way to play it unless it is built again from scratch.
Sold my copy a fair while ago for double what I paid originally, but not bigbucks.
The game gets a lot of credit, deservedly so, but not nearly enough praise for its one-of-a-kind battle system. I'd choose Zwei at gunpoint, but both are in my 32-bit top ten.
2001 and 2017 would be my final two, last year was genuinely exceptional imo. Best Christmas period was 1995 into 1996, massive soft spot/hard-on for '93/94 too.
Just scrolled through a list of games released and there were quite a lot of decent, if not exceptional, games I'd forgotten about. I guess peeps are just easily pleased.
Maybe I'm playing the exercise wrong. Show me a top 50 from 1998 and I'll be chuckling at the barrel scraping in the second half (top 5 is a masterclass though, clearly). 2017 was a fantastic year for the humble [8].
