2. It really opens up, however, so once you reach the hub town, it's worth cracking on with main missions a fair bit. (I'd suggest 1 side 1 main for a bit.) each of the main missions early open up a new gameplay aspect. And they're all game changers.
3. When you are able, and a bit set up, it is worth having a big stash of bone Spears.
4. Major spoilers, check in when you are starting to hit third major area.

Also, i think heavy, stamina restricted combat is not for me. As much as the idea appeals, i just find it frustrating when your player is huffing and puffing after a couple of swipes - Arkham-style combat is much more my thing.
