There are suddenly loads cool games which are “This but That”?

Back in the early GTA3 days the letters pages of gamesmaster or whatever were awash with themes plastered onto GTA. It was a shite idea then.
But now we have two genuine Goty contenders that are based on glomming concepts together: Tetris but...VR and Tetris...but Battle Royale. And today we have announced crypt of the necrodancer but...Zelda while this week we have (sorry to be reductive...fanboys don’t kill me) Dark Souls but Tenchu.
This is really weird.
(Also X-Com but Raving Rabbids but MARIO was also good but that has two buts).
