A new game out tomorrow. Set in medieval France, you play as Amicia, the daughter of a lord who has to go on the run from the Inquisition with her younger brother Hugo. Along the way you meet other characters who help you out in dealing with various human enemies that are after you. And the rats. Thousands and thousands of killer rats.
It's a narrative-led single player game. Expect light stealth, environmental puzzles and chase sequences. Also lots of stunning views and strong characters.
Reviews should be along today.
I've played through it for a review and thought it was surprisingly good. Not quite AAA quality and certainly a one and done, but there's a lot to like about it. -
Looks interesting. Is it fair to use Hellblade as a reference point (gorgeous, story-driven, linear, 'AA')? If so it's the sort of release I've been asking for more of.

It is more expensive - £45 - but I should think it's longer. It takes aboutto finish.Spoiler:
It's not something I'd necessarily recommend at full price digital. But worth it for a physical copy then trade-in/share or digital at a reduced price. -
Actually, I'd guess that there was more to this than HB, in terms of variety and depth, but it's still very linear.

I saw a bit of a play through last week, it may be the rats throwing my eye but it looked like Dishonoured if you took out the freedom and fun stuff. -
Although I'm happy Eurogamer recommend the French language option.

Me too I'm afraid, thought it was a storyline hack 'n slasher. Stealth in 2D types is fine but it's rarely for me in 3D. Having to methodically skulk around for three minutes before someone raises an alarm, then starting a checkpoint again - that often requires a spot of loading - is close to the worst thing in games for me. -
That's not really how it works. Mostly it's pretty basic and doesn't slow you down much. The AI is exaggeratedly dim to make things straightforward and everything you need for a particular section is lying around. Once you get further in, you can take out a lot of guards with your sling shot from distance.
I also don't recall having to repeat any section more than a few times, and the checkpoints are pretty frequent. It's more a narrative-led game than anything. It's designed for you to keep going along a linear path, with some opportunities to explore a bit along the way. -
Well I think it looks amazing. It’s a shame there are some clunky gameplay mechanics in there, but think I’m in just for the setting.Get schwifty. -
This is lovely. Very much a walk sim coupled with some interaction and light, simple stealth but its a solid tale (i know you're all probably fed up of screenshots but man is moist)

I have so many screenshots from my review. One very similar to that, as it happens. Usually I forget to take them when I'm playing, but with this I was constantly stopping to grab a shot of the view.

Fuck me! That look amazing. I'm gonna plump for this as i think i'll enjoy it and i want to test out Amazons same day delivery promise which seems like pie in the sky to me.
