Only if most results are draws

    Alternatively make the scores stackable
    Home Goals = 1 point
    Away Goals = 1 point
    Goal Difference = 1 point
    Correct result = 2 points

  • Does that favour predicting a draw though?
    No
Don't wank. Zinc in your sperms
  • Doesn’t it? It means you get at least 3 points for predicting a draw while for win or loss it could be 1 to 6.

  • Assuming you only get the bonus points if you get the WLD right in the first place.
I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.
  • Can’t we keep it as simple as:

    1 point for correct result.
2 bonus points for correct score.

    Or something similar.

    Just do that.
All the other stuff is participation medal waffle.

First one had no bonus points, all were available so yeah it probably didn't work, my second one works much better

My World Cup spreadsheet can be easily re purposed to do this, so that's what we will do.

  • Right, I think I've got a spreadsheet that I can do this with now, so should have a table this evening.
  • You da man.
I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.
  • A table!

    zU92QPX.png

I put Gonz down for his wish of 2-1 to the home team, although he might regret that because his 1-1 would have seen him joint top. As I'm a kind soul, I'll let him choose which one he wants to go with.

I also put down Mark Lawrensons predictions as a baseline, and embarrassingly he would also be top.

I'm fairly certain there aren't any spreadsheet errors but as always I'm happy to check anything that you think is wrong.
  • How are the points dished out?

Fucker! That was a joke because someone finally granted me my 1-1 wish, put it back!

Points are awarded for interesting predictions, as well as negative points for wrong, but widely believed answers.

Muzzy's points are divided by 2 to get Muzzys score.

Actually employing this rule send a tad harsh :-(

Daddy, where do you get the fixtures from, so I can keep the format the same?

In fact you've divided my taking by three...
  • I should have 10 points I think.

    Liverpool Norwich 1 point
    West Ham City 1 point
    Bournemouth Sheffield 3 points
    Burnley Soton 1 point
    Leicester Wolves 1 point
    Man U Chelsea 3 points

Don't Muzzy me Dante, don't you dare Muzzy me.

I can keep going if you like.

I think the spreadsheet is wrong somewhere. It's giving you 1 point for Palace, but Larry 3 even though you predicted 0-0 and he predicted 1-1. I'll do a manual count later today, so the above table is, in the great tradition of this nonsense.
  • Nice one. No stress or anything. Its easier to spot errors if we are all checking.
  • Daddy, where do you get the fixtures from, so I can keep the format the same?

    Stolen from PTP's prediction league.

Yes. And I now have the spreadsheet agreeing. Lets see if that works for everyone.
  • Do these scores look better?

  • No they're fucking terrible
