  • Just be prepared to die horribly, repeatedly. Take losses with good humour and try to learn something from them. But as I say it just as often throws something hilariously overpowered your way that makes up for it.

  • Check out the Workshop page for it within Steam, which allows you to easily install mods with one click. It's easy enough to manually install them if you download stuff elsewhere too.

  • I haven't tried using a controller, it's probably ok but I would recommend a mouse for precise and quick aiming which is often necessary. I bound kick and slot 5 (which has a water potion to put myself out when I catch on fire) to the side mouse buttons, I had to use the mouse software to set them as keybaord buttons because the game wouldnt' recognise mouse 4/5, but maybe they've fixed that now.
  • BTW you can press Alt + Z to bring up the GeForce Experience overlay, which allows you to set up video recording and the instant replay feature. When enabled you press Alt + F10 to record the last x minutes/seconds of action, you can configure the length and quality in the settings.

    Handy for recording crazy WTF moments so you can watch them back to figure out what went wrong, and to share them for lols.

    150+ hours in and only got to the final boss, would have killed him but I made one silly mistake and Noita Noita'd me. Still not seen all the areas in the game either, stil haven't collected all the things that are out there to find.

  • There's a lot of cool things to discover and mess with, secret areas to crack open, alchemy, tons of weird secrets to decipher. I've avoided spoilers and looking too much up so far, just tried to figure stuff out for myself. I'll probably have to read up on the wiki at some point, it seems tough to understand it all on your lonesome.

    It probably takes a good 20 hours just to figure out the wands, there's some tricks to increase rate of fire.

    I've got to the 'end' a few times now, very tough. One of the best spells is the earthquake shot, if you can get it. Coupled with explosives it can really open up the game for you. Dropping tonnes of shit on enemies' heads is OP too.
  • I've had earthquake shot a couple of times, once with unlimited ammo (was an always cast built into a wand!) which was very silly, but usually I die because I go off exploring when I get a really good wand instead of just concentrating on getting to the boss.

  • You can play the same world seed over and over again with the Seed Changer mod, handy if you come across a particularly fun world that you want to try and master.

  • Chanced his luck trying to blow up a cannister which flew at him and blew up. Tut tut Gurt.
  • Yup, tried to clear it preemptively in case some goon shot at me as I went through that way. I had an absolute damage hose of a weapon that was wrecking everything in that biome too.
