Apple Jack was one of those on XBLIG using XNA, no?
Aye. I seem to remember the dev being a lifetime console gamer and only got interested in making his own game with the arrival of XBLIG. Not surprisingly, there was a distinct lack of any kind of buzz amongst the indie game community and sales were sparse, but at 80msp, or £1, they were some of the best value for money games I've ever played.
I've just got back into Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. I only heard about it because Jim Sterling did a video on it. It's a hoot.
I've never played a Yakuza game but apparently it's a bit like them. Just in a mad max setting and you can beat enemies to a pulp with their friends' death cries.
