Advice on a good king size quilt please? Not super heavy. Maybe 10.5 togs. But one that’s gonna last. It’s my present to myself.

I could make you one, will be done next Christmas at its earliest! (Do what Liv says though, I've only made 1 quilt before and that was for a baby to sleep on. My roommate has bought a sewing machine, and I've been tempted by making a quilt for ourselves quite a bit, until I start looking for fabric and add up the cost).

Also thanks Roujin for the belt link a while ago, I was thinking of ordering something from fjallraven anyway, so combining a couple items is always nice. Specially since it should get me free shipping.

Bedding and that is bread and butter of John Lewis sales. They get loads in special purchase.
Unless you are in desperate need I think its well worth waiting.
All my family's bedding, towels etc are from JL sales.

Isn't cheap if you get carried away with the amount of pics. I think I selected about 60 and it was £55 for the hardback but she absolutely fucking loved it.

If you're going for photo books, I've been using photobox for years now and they seem to always have sales - you can get over 100 pages for £50 hardback if you time it right. Quality is good, too. Just set yourself a couple of evenings to work on it.

I'd imagine high end materials would go down well. I remember being in Germany and picking up some very nice colour pencils. Nice tin box etc - makes a gift of it.
