Been playing a bunch of this thanks to Geforce Now. Absolutely love it after a rocky start thinking it was a bit naff. Great to play when Mrs Pea is hogging the TV.
Just one sutling core thingy short of a smelter and I can have a look into the ore side of things.
This and Grounded are definitely my jam ATM. Love me some survival crafting shenanigans.
I got crushed by a tree as a troll was demolishing the forest trying to squish me with it's club. Hilarious. Trees were knocking others down like dominoes, deer fleeing for their lives. Absolute bedlam.
Managed to kill the fucker though and now I'm wearing it as a nice jumper.
This game is proving to be the perfect thing for when Mrs Pea is hogging the TV.
My humble abode. In hindsight I should have built bigger, its become a bit if a hodge podge as I've tried to accommodate new crafting stations and alot of storage.
This game is all kinds of brilliant. I lost several hours of my day off yesterday to this, managed to down the first boss with my tiny knife and then spent 2 hours hunting deer in the woods.
This game is magic
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
Thought I posted this last night but seems to have not saved. Took down the first boss but died twice. Once at the place you summon it, went back grab my stuff and thought it would only follow me so far back. Nope, followed me all the way back home. I was hiding in my hovel preparing to heal and get armed, when it twatted me and wrecked my place. It was still by my base when I revived, so I had to run around swiping it with my axe. But first boss down and feel I accomplished something.
I think what I like most about this game, and the same applies to Grounded, is the amount you can achieve in an evening. You finish playing and feel like you've advanced by a significant amount and have a set of (self made) objectives in your mind for next time.
We just unlocked an absolute shit ton of new gear to strive towards, and found the next boss location. New cooking options, building bits. There's not enough hours in the day. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the later biomes, I only got to the 3rd one playing solo on PC.
I had a brief go yesterday and I haven't the foggiest what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm guessing it'll be a load of fun figuring that out in multiplayer though.
