PS3/Vita/PSP online stores closing - lamentations and recommendations

As we've all heard by now, Sony are set to close down their PS3, Vita and PSP online stores this summer. PSP on 2nd July. The others on 27th August.
Anything you already own, you'll keep and should be able to download if necessary:

Here there's a list of games that apparently won't be (legally) available anywhere else after the stores close:PS3, Vita, and PSP owners will still be able to re-download and play any games they’ve purchased through the PlayStation Store. Users can still redeem voucher codes for games and PlayStation Plus, too.
Additionally, multi-platform cross-buy purchases are still possible, meaning users can still buy content made available to both PlayStation 4 and PS3, PS Vita, and/or PSP. Players can still access their content by way of the Download List, on their respective device.
Sony also specified that these store closures will not affect any user’s PlayStation Now subscription, or their access to PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita titles they claimed through their PlayStation Plus subscription.

But of course there are also plenty more games that will only be available physically elsewhere, including quite a few PS1 games.
So, general lamentations welcome, but also, what should be snapped up before the end? Essentials, curios, retro classics and more. -
Might get ScourgeBringer once that's out, as a final hurrah. Particularly if it's cross-buy...
Lovely machine the vita. Perfect for Indies, and some good AA titles too. Motorstorm RC on that list is a great example of what it did so well, and it even kinda did "play anywhere" ahead of its time.

Though having said that, looks like you'll be able to download stuff you've bought for a good while yet, which given I have s large pile of shame on it is definitely A Good Thing! -
If you have access to a ps3 then maybe the dlc for drakengard 3.

The Uncharted Game. While it is the worst Uncharted it’s another part of the story that I doubt they’ll bother to remaster. I really should finish it. -

The gun is auto-aim, so it might be the perfect machine for it. Then we should probably get back to battling, my progress stopped well short of the agreed finish line. -
I mostly hated that Uncharted game, far too much forced balancing and touchscreen nonsense (charcoal rubbings aside, which were fine).
Vita was an indie beast for me, I didn't think much of any of the fuller fat games on there really. I guess Motorstorm RC was a big release, which was superb, and Tearaway was kinda wonderful come to think of it, but none of the other biggies did it for me. Glad I played Gravity Rush, but only just.
Having said that I should definitely buy Everybody's Golf before the end. -
Pretty sure the only PSP game I've played was Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins, which was ace.

My first thought was that it’s a shame for Sony to declare the PSP line dead when they’ve nothing handheld to replace it, but then I had a galaxy brain moment and realised that all the Sony Experia phones are their new handhelds. -

US and JPN PSN stores have a great selection of really expensive PS1 and PS2 games that will be only available physically after the closure.

The dlc is separate and adds a lot of story.

Actually, is this the only way you can get the first Suikoden games, other than on disc? If so, well worth grabbing them, especially 2.

I would also like to add that although it is available elsewhere the Vita version of Hotline Miami is superlative.

Prices of US PS1 and PS2 games were going crazy even before this announcement, interesting and sad to see what happens after the digital option is gone. -

It's the way to go of you're playing handheld. Even with the twin stick setup the Switch version is worse. I had half a dozen problems with it on a recent playthrough and there's a fair amount of chat online about how temperamental the port is. -

Surprised to see Klonoa and Silent Hill being pricy on PS1. I thought damn near everybody had those, and they sold a bucketload. I guess maybe nobody held on to them?
