Played Scythe.
It's alright, basically Race for the Galaxy with a map and figures.
First games are always a bit a muddle but it has potential if you like engine builder games.
I've read a few reviews and seen a few videos of scythe, i don't think anyone else picked up on it but it really is Race for the Galaxy with a map.
If you like that you should like this.

I think we've had it a year, but me and Mrs Kid finally got round to playing Patchwork tonight.
It took us a while to work out what was going on, I'm pretty sure we kept accidentally taking it in turns at the start rather than whoever was last playing. I won, and the ending seemed a bit abrupt. But overall very enjoyable, not much confrontation, quick too. So a great couples game.
Heh. No idea why it says 8+ on the box tbh, my lad 'got' it right away. I love this game, lovely little filler. I'll only play the 7x7 rules with 2 though, it's much better.
Had a games night on Friday with our regular players. Did the next Sherlock Consulting Detectives case (these are from the expansion set) and it was yet another wonderful experience. We did exceptionally well too and got close to Sherlock's score which was exciting.
We then played Skull to finish off the night. I think I have said it before but I will say it again...what an outstanding game. I hit a real groove and won five games on the trot, just by outsmarting and bluffing others.
Gamertag: aaroncupboard (like the room where you keep towels)
Got my parents to bring up all my old Warhammer with an eye for selling most of it and getting it out of their loft. I think a whole box is missing, but still:
Apologies for shite pictures, but they're mostly metal and old shitty GW plastic so the detail isn't even that ace
Cry Havoc is so chuffing good. Super fast , interesting decisions every turn. We've rattled though 5 games tonight, which is amazing for what it is. I'm absolutely in love with it. Works amazing with all player counts too.
Wasn't gonna paint it, but it's getting so much play time that I think I might do a quicko job on it.
Nice seeing old models. I'm tempted to pick up some new stuff with a view to painting some models again. I'm a bit confused by AoS though. Downloaded the app and just browsing the rules at the moment.
This video seems rather important in general. I've been trying to get much better about not wasting time.
