Finally got around to playing 'My Little Scythe' with the family - definitely recommend and lovely miniatures. The game seemed to finish quite quickly but there's scope to add more objectives, on the other hand, if it's only kids playing, then it's probably just right.
Another family game I discovered this summer was 'Overbooked' which is basically a tile matching/ pattern making puzzle game with the theme of cramming people onto aeroplanes. Really nice art and variant rules depending on how frustrating you want the game.
I'll also recommend 'Zooloretto' and 'Ghost Fighting Treasure Hunters' but when I bought these from Amazon I had to download the English instructions.
It's the Terrain that's an issue for me too. There's an absolute ton of 15mm Terrain at the club for Flames of War that's perfect for Post Apocalyptic. Gaslands I just rusted up a ton of plastic cars.
Least with AI it's just a board. Plus.... THOSE MODELS.
Not caught up on this thread in ages. But Im excited! But Chronicle X is apparently getting delivered tomorrow. Its been an eternity since I backed it. Cant wait.
Also been marching on painting the Conquest mag stuff. Here are a couple of recent ones:
EDIT damn I can see a few touch ups I need to make already..
Nice work! Conquest is such a good way of getting into stuff.
In my own mini news, the God Engines of Legio Gryphonicus walk! Longer project than I expected, and still some stuff to do, but what a great time it was.
Thought that was 40k scale there for a minute. That weathering is on point.
Meanwhile I've been painting 5 chaos terminators for the best part of a month. Not that it takes that long, I just never seem to get much done even when I'm sat down to paint.
I've been rattling through my 15mm stuff, and ordered more, for Mutants and Death Ray Guns. It's officially my favourite skirmish system now. So good.
We're statting up and making cards for each mini so we can draw random Warbands for mini campaigns, so they're a rag tag bunch.
Anyway, they don't hold up to much scrutiny, but when I can blitz two or three off with contrasts in 20 mins when I get home from work I'll take that tyvm.
Cos of the way focal depth works on cameras (I think) it isn't very easy to get all of my titans in one photo. So using some very beginner photoshop chicanery I managed to sort of do it. Some issues on the photo cos I doubt I was dead centre, but still the best I can really do. Had a weekend of games at a pals place. Six of us playing, was a good time. AT is a great game, probably the best GW game.
