There's plenty of content there, after the story more opens up. I reckon you could be raid ready without repeating a single mission, something which wasn't possible with Destiny 1.
It's still Destiny mind, more of the same shooty bang bang, so if you didn't like the gameplay in the first place more of it probably won't win you over.
