Highlighting to priviliged male gamers WHY a female character is bad and offensive? WASTE OF TIME! WE ALREADY KNOW, LOL! It's a non-issue! The proof is in all of the dislikes and kitchen/sandwich jokes on your kickstarter video. We didn't all do that because we're shitlords, we did it because were intelligent bastions of feminine issues. All of my hate.

Mouldywarp wrote:Biologically, a male's sexual attraction is likely to be more superficial than a woman's as he can fuck and fuck off, so to speak. If a female is impregnated then she has to invest (in humans) 9 months of her time and energy into the child before it's even born. Therefore in nature you see differing sexual strategies in males and females. For example, mating rituals that allow the female to test how dedicated the male is. Once she is satisfied he has invested enough in her to not make it worth his while to fuck off straight after sex she agrees to copulate.
This is all from the perspective of genetics rather than ethics, but these things will still influence us despite our ability to override our genetic pre-programming.
Men can pick and choose? That would only happen if women vastly outnumbered men. Humans are naturally compelled to pair off so men are judged just as much as women, it's just that women are mostly judged on appearance and men are judged on a much wider range of criteria, so you can't really have a male equivalent of Vogue et al.handsofblue wrote:At its basest, we live in a world where women invest time and energy into competing against each other and allow men to pick and choose without particularly needing to prove fitness (obviously does not apply to all situations). We have managed to thwart nature again!
