Gonna try the film a day thing again, but will give you guys a day or so to make substitutions if something on the list shouldn't be there. Attempted and failed three years ago, but made a half decent start. List pullled from rotten tomatoes this time as per Tempy, so slightly different from last time. I see a lot less foreign films and that makes me slightly sad, but hey ho. So I added the metacritic list as well, in case it's better. You lot can choose, I'm genuinely surprised how different those lists look

I found Night of the Comet to just be shit bad not fun bad.
Maybe switch for Chopping Mall if you want a similar vibe but entertaining.
Something good swap in for Night of the Hunter.

Any cinema releases likely? We watched the latest Halloween one last year - was a good lark.
Might keep the Evil Dead 2 for Halloween but don't know if Wifey and daughters will approve of the humour.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -

Original Omen - I think it's still a cracker. As is original Poltergeist.
The Changeling isn't there. The Shining. The Descent. The Others.

The Omen and The Changeling would make an all-time top 20 for me. The latter was such a treat in the early 90s after renting a succession of enjoyable stinkers as a kid obsessed with the horror section in Ritz.

I feel the thing should be on there (but I love that movie so much I'd put it on any list)
Also I think it's technically a TV movie but salems lot is a genuinely creepy take on vampires. Also love the vibe of 30 days of night. Once everything goes to he'll, the film becomes a bit dull but the slow build as the vamps tighten the noose on the town at the start is great.SFV - reddave360 -

Yeah. It splits opinion. The concept was that the Halloween film series was going to branch off and have original stories set around Halloween every year or two. This was the first and last attempt at doing it. It's a splendid quirky little tale but it's a bit clunky in its delivery, but I really liked it.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -
