I had Pit Fighter on the old brick GB. Really was a terrible game.
Horrendous input lag and almost no hit detection to speak of made it quite a frustrating experience. Being 7 though I thought I should like it anyway just because it was a video game and I really wanted to play them.
The local indie wouldn't accept it as a trade in a few years later either.
I'll ponder a list later. Assassins Creed 2 will probably be in it. -
Lord of the Rings: Conquest would probably feature in my list somewhere. That's about the only truly terrible game I can think of right now. -

The worst game I've ever played was Panzer Commander. Â The training mission involved driving your tank to a firing range. Â Going at the recommended speed, the range was a good 20 minute drive down a straight road. Â I wasn't prepared to wait so I pushed on at top speed. Â Ended up blowing the engine or running out of fuel. Â Either way I never saw that firing range.
This generation, the worst game I've played is Spider-Man 3. Â It's hopeless. Â Bit that sticks out was a checkpoint I was so walk over to end a mission. Â It was a great big pink glowing circle that could not be missed. Â I ran over it for ages without it registering. Â Turns out the checkpoint was actually a hundred yards further into the sewer I was in and was completely unmarked. -
Fifa menus go in there for me.
Nothing is where it should be and they don't follow any menu conventions established and refined over 3 decades of games.
Not being able to skip the Conker intro without resetting the console.
Nigel Mansell's game on the Amiga, I still shudder at the words "Stick to the racing line" -

Top Gun on PS2 was full of disappoint. Is it really that hard to rip off afterburner with some Top Gun branding and audio ripped from the movie?

If games that we stopped playing count, then God of War 2 (got bored), Blue Dragon (shit) and Oblivion would be on my list. Appreciate that I didn't play them fully and that they may have gotten better later, but not holding my attention in the intial stages speaks volumes to me.I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.

Thank the lord - I thought I was the only one. Gameplay consisted of mashing buttons - move to next fight - mash - puzzly bit / boss - then repeat. I didn't.
I really wanted to like it - gave it a several attempts as I thought I was missing something.
There were loads of shit platformers on the likes of the SNES (Home Alone has been mentioned - there was a Beavis and Butthead one too) that were mind numbingly bad. I have always been one to dodge licenced stuff though so rarely got tagged.
Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -
I bought some crap on the Megadrive certainly. Sword of Sodan and Fantasia spring to mind. Fire Pro Wrestling on SNES was bad in a hilarious kind of way - actually worth playing for the laughs.
