NEXON Co., Ltd. (3659:TO) (“Nexon”), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games, today announced that Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX, the first PC online game developed as part of Nexon’s agreement with Kodansha Ltd., is expected to launch worldwide in the first half of 2014. 

Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX is based on the original animated television productions Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG and Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX Solid State Society. The game is a first person shooter (FPS) featuring fierce and dynamic battles between cyborgs, and will offer players the chance to engage in cooperative battle mode, a new concept that integrates artificial intelligence with the player.

Under the terms of the licensing agreement Nexon and Kodansha announced in December 2012, Nexon will develop games based on the Ghost in the Shell animated televisions series and distribute them worldwide.
