PERSONA 4 IS HERE (again)!

Oh yas indeed, Vita & Persona 4G get! Reached the first save point, doing a bit of exploring.
Great to be back in Shin Megami Tensei-land.Â

I put about 10 hours into the PS2 version then shelved it, despite me knowing it's a brilliant game.
I think I should unshelve it, cos £200+ isn't gonna happen any time soon. -
When you fight the monsters is it possible to tell (like in Pokemon) what type the monster is weak to? Or do you just have to work this out by testing?

Analysis works, but only when you've discovered what the weakness is (as an upgrade later on, it can let you know before the battle).
I dont think theres any obvious clues though. I usually see what they use and use the opposite on them. Maybe theres an arcana chart for it i dont know about? -
From the off I would just cycle through my team and see what resulted in a knockdown. I think once you've fought an enemy it'll show you it's strengths and weaknesses, you just have to have the relevant element to use. In the 20 hours I played I hadn't managed to get any Persona with Light or Dark attacks so could never tell if a certain enemy would be weak against those. I did lose about 30 minutes of game play in the first dungeon when my main dude got spanked with a Wind attack that insta killed him. Learned the importance of swapping Persona's pretty soon after that.

BlazBlue is gorgeous, no? Great soundtrack as always. Fired up Vita when I got home, download was paused again. Unpaused, and it was doing 2MB/s, i.e. 16Mb/s. Â I was going to get excited, but then realised I'm supposed to have a 60Mb connection.Â

Has this game got any relation to the game where you play a jap kid and put a gun to your head, kill yourself, and summon demons and shit?It wasn't until I hit my thirties that I realised you could unlock rewards by exploring the map

I do for some reason remember the artist of that cover worked on an ill-fated animated series called Natural Born Kittens, though. -

Just played 3 hrs 40 now and done the first dungeon/castle .Â
** Spoiler** I think - iPhone just seems to spoiler everythingÂ
Not too sure about the battles really , I just changed to the persona to beat the boss , some attacks were resisted but the persona worked ok . This is why I like having a manual , you can read it and play at the same time , it's ok having it on the game but its not the same. Is there a basic guide around ?Â

So I've just ordered this. Have played about 15 hours of P3 so I think I know what I'm getting myself in for but damn this has just made my commute to and from work much more exciting

Ok, it's P3 that I must have played a bit of on PS2, cos of none of this is familiar to me so far. Loving the feel and set up of the game, story and characters so far. BGM is rather catchy!
One thing that annoys me though is the way the American voice overs pronounce Jap names. Ugh. Can't you say a name right, guys?!I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER. -

Yeah that track is lovely. The opening Persona theme track however is barmy upbeat cheese at it's best though.
The "who's there" track reminds me of a very similar tune from the 16bit era - some OCEAN Horror style game that I can't rememberer the name of!.
Now 2 hrs in.. quite enjoying it - find it strangely relaxing.

Oh you'l enjoy the first dungeon then.
Both Persona 3 and 4 have mad good soundtracks. I have to dig the item shop theme in P4.
