I almost did, had it on for a minute or two then changed my mind, through no fault of anything going on (opted for an Otis Redding doc on Iplayer instead). 25 mins per episode, I'll give it a go at some point.

I would love to see the Castlevania series of games GBA and DS re-released for Switch. Having a clearout and im having doubts about letting my DS Castlevania games go. Why konami, why have you abandoned such an awssome series? *caveat the nintendo releases.

I think Konami should definitely go the collections route now.

A couple of CV ones would be nice, one A-B the other Metroidvania.

As far as new games go I think outsourcing is the best Way Forward for their IPs.

No, liked the look of it and shock horror, even enjoyed the movie.

But seeing as I already have Samus Returns on the go, another Metroidvania game was never gonna stand a chance atm.

By the time I'm in the mood for another game of that ilk Prime 4 will probably be out.

It is from all the reviews I read.

I'm sure I'd like it but I can't play everything, and if it comes down to a homage against the series that started it all, I'll go for the real deal nine times out of ten.

edit: If anything I really do owe it to myself to play a Castlevania game in that style. Everytime I get an itch to play one though a new Metroid seems to drop.

Did we both change the conversation to Rive, or just me? The Mummy is definitely a Metroidvania, I just played the first hour and it's shamelessly Super Metroid, but Rive isn't, it's pretty A to B.

Rive is a possibility for the future I guess, it's at the back of a very long queue though.

Mate honestly, even if you bought it for me it'd be hard to find time for.

Atm I have Samus Returns and Super Mario Oddysey on the go.

Sitting unplayed is Golf Story, RE7 and Wonderboy.

Not yet purchased Mafia III, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Uncharted Lost Legacy, there's definitely more I want but I can't think atm.

Coming out there's RDR2, Metroid Prime 4 off the top of my head.

Then there's oldies such as Code Veronica and Prime 2 that I intend to go back to.

Games such as Rocket League that really deserve more time than the couple of hours I've played so far.

On top of that I've been playing about half a dozen 16Bit games every year for a while now, I'll continue that for the foreseeable.

There's just too little time :-(

I would love a release of the GBA/DS ones on switch. I've only recently got into Castlevania (played some symphony, played through lords of shadow, and the first one on NES very young... oh and a DS one on my R4 card but not very much).

The prices for some of them are insane.

I've never been a huge fan of the SotN style, so I'm hoping for Rebirth and Bloodlines to be included.

The more the merrier though.

IV, Chronicles, Rondo and Rebirth are splendid. Haven't encountered any other I've liked. Haven't tried Bloodlines yet though.

You'd love Bloodlines, III is also superb for the linear fans of the series.

Also despite the common conception of being merely a poor Rondo port, Dracula X is a blast.

Compilation sounds good, if they can get the correct SOTN on there. I've never played that one as I missed it when it was released, and all the re-releases etc make it confusing. I still don't know what the best version is supposed to be.
