I'm sure there will be plenty of suggestions for pubs/eateries each month so we won't leave it all on your shoulders Yoss.
If we're sticking with a central theme, there's a few other good Sam Smith's around Soho - John Snow, Champion and Horse & Groom. The Green Man and Rising Sun are decent non-SS pubs. -
Food is certainly a good idea. If only we had someone who could point us in the direction of decent burger joints in London.

I'm happy to keep it open to suggestions. I did visit a very nice pub in LB the other week, I believe it was called the Barrow Boy and Banker. It's worth a look.
