Makes sense, Pennywise were always the bigger band out of that lot. I loved About Time back in the day, but they really did descend into bro-punk after that (magnificent) album. I rate all three of the others on that bill more highly.
I think King Tut’s a few years ago was the last time I got to see F2F in a small venue. Then down to Notts to see them support Green Day in Wollaton Park a day or two after.
Just caught some of Texas’s set at the Bandstand while out walking the dog. I know they’re a bit bland but Texas are actually pretty good at pop tunes and Sharleen’s a proper frontwoman. Not bad.
I’ll need to remember to walk Cooper over that way late on for the next few nights. Brian Wilson tomorrow and the Pixies next week.
Anybody been to the Coronet theatre in London? Ty Seagall gig there next month that I wouldn't mind catching, but I understand it's one of those places where you have to scan in your ID before they let you in.....

I don't know for sure but that's pretty staved amongst certain chains nowadays, to iceberg troublemakers after the fact etc, but given they make no public statement about what they will do with your data and how they will use it is pretty annoying

I can hear tonight’s Eminem gig from inside my flat. He’s playing at least two or three miles away, but it’s a still night and the sound is travelling. Must be the finale, he’s doing Lose Yourself. Sounds good, actually.
Going to see the Revolting Cocks tonight. I saw them when they last played in London 26 years ago. It's going to be a group of old gits playing to a room full of old gits. Just checked the venue details and the curfew is at 10pm so that everyone can get tucked up in bed with a mug of cocoa before 11.

I bloody hate 'curfews' at gigs. Maybe I just want to prop up the bar and chat with my mates about the performance I just saw. But oh no it's shutters slammed shut over the bar and bouncers hounding you out. Worst venue for that I think was the Concorde in Brighton. Wedding Present had just finished playing, David Gedge goes "make sure you stay around for the indie disco!" Bouncers: "OUT!"

Venue owners got greedy. Used to be all about staying for the indie disco, now it’s all about kicking you out so they can charge you to get back in for it.
It's original/early lineup members performing the first album as a 30th Anniversary thing. Al Jourgensen isn't included but he kept the band going as a sporadic side project for quite a few years with various other lineups.

Well RevCo turned out to be better than expected. It's always a bit hit and miss with bands which rely on drum tracks and samples and how they translate to a live set. Sometimes it feels like you are just paying to listen to an album played loudly. They were considerate enough to leave their cover of Rod Stewart's 'Do ya Think I'm sexy' until last so that I could have a pre journey home piss without missing anything crucial. Got back home in time for a beer absorbing kebab too. 7/10
