Can A,B,C ever be part of condition 2, or D,E,F,G ever be in condition 1?? Just because if not it seems weird to have them as a separate measure, when they are really part of a heirarchy within the same measure

Ahh, a standard stacked bar chart works on two measures, say age and rank, so either measure can occur in any bar. In your example there is only really one measure (a-z) but this measure has a heirarchy (1-9). Presentation isn't my strongest point any more, but play around with bar charts and use "group by" rather than a separate measure that "stacked by" might offer you
edit: or perhaps if has to be a separate in the interface, then add group by there instead of the measure

Had a little play, seems it'll only play horizontally and not vertically (which confuses me as I'm used to pivoting data however I choose, but hey ho). Dunno if this might help a little despite it being a different program
