I think this is a good idea for a thread, particularly for multi player stuff.
Drop a post if you're playing game x and would be up for multi....check the thread if you're not sure what to play but would be interested in some multi if the right game /players are in action...
Then you avoid the old 'aw man, if I'd known you were playing pes last night I'd have given you a game, as it was I just watched repeats of neighbours all night '"Like i said, context is missing."

well not if you have multiple devices you could game on...you could turn on your ps4 and xbone and steam and uplay etc to see who's on and what they're playing...or just jump in the ad-hoc thread and see...plus you'd see what people were playing that weren't already on your friends list..."Like i said, context is missing."

I was never really one for timesink games like RPGs, action adventures etc but kids blew that sort of thing away.
It kind of suited my tastes for the arcade type of game and the older genres such as shmups etc. Even then it was a treat when the kids were very young.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -

It's not intended to be a giant 100+ page thread. In fact, that's completely missing the point. Yes, people who are already on their console or PC can look at their friends lists, but frequently people are checking the forum on their phone/tablet while other stuff happens, and may think "ooh, Unlikely is about for a couple of hours and I'm also free so I'll pop on and invite him to a game of Costume Quest 2".

It's a great thread. For a lot of us there's no firm time we can nail down to play games with friends, so posting here ad-hoc might help. -
This could be handy when I get home drunk late on Forza Night and most of you have already slipped into a stupor and logged off. -
