I never really clicked with TDU2. As Frantic says, all the crap they added made it a chore to play. Also, you're stuck on the brown and characterless Ibiza until you reach level ten, then when you get to go to Oahu you realise a lot of the roads have been altered/simplified at the expense of adding some truly awful off road sections.

I did manage to find a couple of stretches of quite stunning mountain road however, some of the new cars are lovely, and the handling has been slightly improved (still pretty dodgy though). May be worth trying out if you liked the first one, but only if you see it really cheap.

I adored it for what it was. The whole of the original games island is in there.

There's not quite as many events but you can't knock it for cars and nice places to drive them.

Also there's lots of fun challenges to do like finding parts of junked cars and photo ops.. so it's quite open world.

The handling is fine bearing in mind you have to be able to do tight turns and U turns and stuff.. there's some lovely stuff like being able to raise and lower the roofs of convertibles.

I really really enjoyed it. Should be bargain priced now too. Plus you can give yourself plastic surgery and come out in bandages.

Nah, that's where you went wrong. Casino was a terrible idea.

The events where you had to do a whole lap of the island was immense.

I loved TDU. Spent hours and hours on it. Heard sequel isn't as good though. 

Picked up Split/Second on the cheap over the weekend. I haven't played a racer in ages, apart from MK7 on 3DS which I picked up recently and got my racing juices flowing again. 

It was between Blur, Hot Pursuit, RR Unbounded and S/S. I chose the latter. Good choice? Anyone play(ed) it?

I've got that. Not sure if I ever finished it, think I did.

It's not especially a racer as such, but a very good arcade experience. Latter races can get very frustrating/unfair/hard. Given the nature of the game and its need to put racers near you to attack it's got some of the most shocking rubber banding you'll ever see.

Hot Pursuit was probably the better choice, maybe get that next.

I really enjoyed Split/Second as well.

I'm tempted to get it again for 360 after I've had a quick bash on the free PS version I got ages ago.
