We have a thread for discussing gender issues, but not one for discussing racism. Sadly, this issue seems to be growing rather than shrinking, so here's a thread.
I'll kick it off with a positive racism story about the son of the founder of Stormfront, godson of David Duke and one-time heir-apparent to the white nationalist movement in the states turning away from the ideology that he was raised in:

I don't disagree with that, but we already have the other threads and these issues don't seem a particularly great fit for either of those as they stand. If we could start a general purpose inequality thread and have people use it then great, but I suspect people will just end up bumping the Ills and Miso threads. -
Plus we have separate threads for Tittyfall 1 and 2 FFS.

There's the rub. There would be a lot of crossover just now, but that's (hopefully) not always going to be the case. Agreed if we're talking the current affairs thread, it's for newsy news, generally.
But society's ills and bigotry (miso and racism, plus class plus other shit) are all intertwined. Now, actually combining threads is neither here nor there, I'm not trying to derail, but the point brooks makes about them being part of the same meta issue is worth highlighting.
Filling this thread with Trump called Mexicans rapists is just a twitter feed. Looking at why a dude like Trump can actually still be in a presidential race after saying these things, as well as sexually harrassing any female within reach, and the reasons behind it is what brings all the threads together.

Having these things in separate threads self-evidently doesn't preclude those deeper conversations, for me it just offers more opportunities to have them by providing another place to share the sorts of information that might spark them.
