So then, Bioware are looking for a piece of that pie Bungie gorged on with Destiny. From what I've seen of Anthem so far it looks promising but I think we've all learned our lessons where E3 Demos and promotional gameplay are concerned.

At the moment the Exo suits have me intrigued. There is potential there I think for a lot of customisation that would normally not be available to human only player characters. Would be great if Bioware supported more traditional Tank, DPS and Healer trinities from other online games. Guess time will tell. Still not a lot of concrete information on Anthem, and the official website is quite bare of anything.

It won't be out until 2018 at the earliest according to EA. And yes it is an RPG. Did you lot not watch the video? It'll be a loot based / upgrade system with stats and rolls. Exo suit classes such as Stalker, Ranger, Tank ect.

I think it looks incredible, even if it is a Marvellous Medicine of everything else, but I don't fancy playing it. Loot levellers give me the 'ewww' retractable penis feeling. I'm interested to see if the final game looks anything like what's been shown though.

Ah that's fair enough. I doubt this will be your cup of then tea. From what I gathered watching the video it's pretty much The Division + Destiny + Titanfall. Bound to be lots of inventory management and statistic allocation.

I'm assuming the Destiny scene will stretch into 2018 and then some. The fact Anthem is a ways away matters not - pretty but it didn't click with me.

I can't be doing with this trend for blurry backgrounds to accommodate fast movement. If you have to rely on dynamic LoD then you've overcooked it, and my eyes hate that.
