Good shout for Robert Yang's stuff. Given how sanitised most games are it's amazing how the proper independent/art/avant gard game scene leans into queer stuff.

It's like a reflection of the proliferation of camcorders and VHS that enabled Paris is Burning. Ease of access tools for game dev invites these kindness of experiential stories to be told and though they're often rudimentary in comparison they are frequently quite affecting IMO.

I just set up mame and there are loads of adult ROMs in the full set. Easily though to remove for family use though.

A guy who I worked with at Game liked to buy any of the sex games we randomly got sent/traded in. I’m not one to judge so he would wait for me to be on shift before buying them.

The funniest one I remember was ‘Lula 3D’. Just looked completely lame, like a crappy European game made in the early 90s (it was about 2006). We also got some UMDs for psp which were basically hentai, ‘LA girl’ or something.

Edit: this guy also bought every Japanese game that we got in, and kept them all sealed in a drawer at home. I laughed, but if he kept them they’d be worth loads by now I’m sure.
