Yeah typical MS PR balls up. One hand not knowing what the other is doing.g.man wrote:And that's exactly why the strategy doesn't work. Unless you're banging out multiple stone cold classics every year, people will just assume you have nothing.monkey wrote:Just making and releasing the game with a minimum of hype and build up gets the thumbs up from me. Microsoft’s problem is that they haven’t been making many games. This leads many people to form the (not unreasonable) conclusion that they haven’t got any games.
They’ll have Halo 6 and Forza Horizon 4, almost certainly, and I’m sure they’ll both be out for Christmas. I don’t know that they will count for much as far as shifting public perception goes, although FH3 has quietly turned into a bit of a juggernaut since release, so 4 should do well.wonderbanana wrote:As long as MS have a good E3, announcing now is irrelevant and pointless. They have SOT, CD3, SOD2, ORI 2 + superior multiplats to tide over for a few months and nothing they do is gonna make a dent in Sony so better to do E3 with a bang. Lord help them if they have feck all though.

g.man wrote:So hey Microsoft. What wondrous delights do you have for us this year.
Hey g! This year we have nothing.
You have...nothing?

I imagine all that’ll do is reconfirm people’s perception that all MS have to offer in the AAA department is Halo, Forza and Gears.

Sea of Thieves is currently short on content, but what’s there is great.AJ wrote:Oh, I've heard of all those; just so dull I couldn't identify them, then.
