Just see it as irl, if you've a defensive coach with 10/20 in it, and shit mentals, then you're not gonna get any good defence coaching done. At a Rangers level just go for the highest you can get in each individual training area and upgrade down the line.

If you can get Bergkamp he is the ultimate daddy of coaching shooting. Paul McGuiness is daddy of ball control (ooohh baby).

So... Bought the Switch version... 
First time on an FM game.

Was never going to play this on PC, even if it's the game's natural home.

It's tough, but fuck... It's amazing. 

There's a lot of detail in there, and it makes for a very clunky interface, but that takes nothing away from the fun of organising the blue and white steamroller your team.

Both the convenience of the Switch, and the 3D match engine is the key for me...
The former makes picking up and putting down the game an easy thing to do. 

The later, I think, was something I was interested in as soon as they introduced it to the series, because the text commentary was just too much of a stretch for my attention span (I'm not adverse to reading stuff, but draw the line at that shit)... 

Picking up a random signing, or plucking some promising badger out of the reserve or youth setup and actually watching the fucker come deep, pick up the ball, play it short, and move almost exactly into the spaces indicated is a simple pleasure... All smoke and mirrors to a certain degree, but it's real satisfying...
