Sometimes a game you like the look of can really shit the bed. Like Gungeon for me.

Fair enough, but still. I mean, I didn’t get on with Breath of the Wild, I wouldn’t be claiming it was the worst game of that year.

Maybe change it to biggest let down/ disappointing game? As opposed to a game being bad, maybe it didn't live up to expectations or potential.

Not played anything awful that's come out this year, but Yoku's Island Express was the closest thing. Very underwhelming and undercooked.

There's also God of War, which was still quite good, but was full of pointless content and systems.

Late Shift, although that was on Gamepass so no idea if it's a 2018 game; doubtful. Just was all very budget with a woeful script. 

Failing that it would have to be Uncharted:Lost Legacy. Just more of the same. Looked lovely, played well but was ultimately pretty unfulfilling.
