Void Bastards is some wild style but I feel like that Kotaku article in that it runs out of energy by about 5-6 hours in.

Dang it, I really wanted to give it a look, saw Sterling's vid on it, DS mentioned it on strim last night and I'd agree actually with what you've experienced Reg and the Kotaku article seems to say, it doesn't quite seem to have the 'Just one more go' factor that's crucial to keep people playing in the long term from what people are saying. 

A shame. 

I'll keep any eye out for it if it appears in a cheeky sale in the future though.

Apparently Griftlands, the new Klei game is really good. Slay the Spire meets trad RPG. Your conversations with characters are done like card battles too, which is really interesting.

Just in case anyone had taken an interest in this, and as mentioned in the news thread, it's actually not very good. Smart idea but it's very basic and there's just not enough variation to make it worth replaying over and over for different endings. Quite annoying at times too.

Edit: Sorry @JonB.   that'll teach me to get all excited before checking the thread first!

Whisper it, but I think I'd prefer it to Slay the Spire as there's more you can do with poor RNG in an action game than you can about getting a bad roll of the dice in a card game. Probably daft to compare the two but it kind of sums up why I'm not really feeling StS. Like, if I've not got the relics and cards to make a fist of it then it feels like I've wasted my time and it's not really my fault, but with an action game you can always fall back on your meagre skillz, and you at least feel like you had a shot.
