Ooh they're shipping the preorder bonuses at the start of March. The SteamVR environments are probs going to be in-game so it's be a good chance to check out the vibe and shinies. Just saying that it's a missed opportunity since if you wanted to buy a headset, the Oculus Quest should probably be on you're shortlist, if only for it's flexibility. Wireless Index? the choice for the higher end customer market wouldn't even be a thing.

Tbf it'll be wireless next year through, probably. Can't remember when the new wireless standard is officially a go but it has the bandwidth to handle the Index.

I think once PCVR goes wireless you’ll have more buyers of kit and then more AAA games. Give it a couple years if what’s on offer doesn’t float your boat. -
Yeah, it has to go proper wireless to really find traction. I play my Quest quite a bit but it’s sorta, kinda novelty. Better than my PSVR though as i could just never be arsed with the cables and faff. Except fir Astrobot obvs

Some rumours that next PSVR could be wireless would be the game changer I think. If Sony dropped that just before the PS5 launch they would get so much buy in.
