Cheers all - it's taken me ages to paint, and I've still got the back of the cloak to finish but it's broadly done now.
Abaddon is supposed to be up next on my painting table, but I've run out of black paint and my order from GW has been pending since the start of November. Might paint (and repaint) some daemonettes I've got in the same colours as that KoS. Shouldn't be too bad with contrast paints. -

The other side is better, but it's hidden by the angle of the model. It's the first time I've tried NMM, and I did this side first. Turns out it's a lot easier to paint when you know roughly where you're placing your highlights!

I picked up Lost Ruins of Arnak, a game I ordered an eternity ago, as it finally arrived at my flgs. What a phenomenal Euro game.
Part deck building, part worker placement, it presents a billion options but is ridiculously simple to learn (and teach i imagine). I've only played solo as Mrs Pea would not even entertain anything so complex looking. The solo mode is really, really well done. This will be getting hammered over Christmas.
Lovely art (every card is unique), I'd learned what every symbol meant in minutes and finished a game in about 60 mins. So I played again. Can't recommend it enough if you like simple but crunchy euros. Its up there with Brass and Everdell for me.
Speaking of Everdell, it has a similar feeling at the start of the game where you wonder how you're going to achieve anything in 5 rounds. By round 3 you're pulling off big chains of moves and achieving so much more than round 1. I think round 5 lasted about as long as 1-3 combined. Loads of "aha" moments.
Superb.

That Lost Ruins game looks tops Pea!
I painted an old metal model a friend sent me a little while back. Old Lokhir Felheart, one of the best models from Warhammer Fantasy. Tiny by today's Warhammer standards, so I grabbed a little reference pic for him.
Had some fun with his cloak too.

Painted my Lord of Contagion in a day. I'm pushing to get my bloat drone finished today and then it will be just over a year before I started the box. -

Been playing a few games for review for the small Youtube channel I've been building up.
Managed to play posthuman Saga, a post apocalyptic exploring game, which it decent once it gets going but take ages to set up and organise.
Have been playing Zombie Kidz and Zombie Teenz which are pretty much my first Legacy game. Really simple to play and learn and the game evolves as you play. Good Time.
Been keeping an eye on the stuff @tempy has been posting on twitter. Loving their work. Cracking stuff from @NoFace.Sometimes here. Sometimes Lurk. Occasionally writes a bad opinion then deletes it before posting.. -

They're from Infinity. The lady on the right was a limited edition model that came with preorders of the new 4th edition rules in October, and the guy on the left is a model the community made in the likeness of Gutier, one of the main designers of the ruleset

That's a really nice model noface and Questor that paint scheme is sweet.
I did two things of note over the holidays - played the shit out of hades and started painting Abaddon. I'm really pleased with how he's turning out.
